Are there any gaming laptops that have the hotswap feature ...

Hey there, Caelan, first of all, hotswapping is action of changing a piece of server hardware without turning off the server itself (you could damage a PC if you did that).

Second, laptops are not the best when it comes to gaming or upgrading hardware (due to the pricing of parts and compatibility issues). Still, if you want a good gaming laptop for 1k or less, here's a list. http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-m14x-r2/pd Alienware is shunned by the online community due to it's pricing, but I think that an i5 processor, 8 gig of ram and 1gb graphics card is more than enough for at least a year or two (considering the fact that you can upgrade almost every part in it) Perhaps an ASUS P53SJ http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=asus+P53SJ

Anyway, just look for decent parts that are not INTEL or RADION integrated.
